If you are new to this podcast, please let me take a moment to explain “Twin Petes Investing” is an unscripted collaboration between Twitter investing personalities Peter Higgins (conkers) @conkers3 on Twitter and the Award Breaking Pete (WheelieDealer) @WheelieDealer on Twitter. We have several decades of involvement and experience of the stock market, stocks, shares, funds, fundamental analysis, technical analysis and dealing with volatility. We are Full Time Investors who find the day to day rigours of the ever-changing quest to make financial returns from the increasingly volatile markets fascinating. Just for clarity other than when we are presenting Twin Petes Investing LIVE at events as we have been fortunate to do at Mello Events, we are conducting our podcasts from completely different locations, with one of us in Windsor, Berkshire and the other in Leicestershire.
As anyone who has even just a limited amount of experience taking on the Markets will know, everybody has their own unique style and ways of taking on the challenge and although our methods have similarities, it is anticipated that our “Twin Petes Investing” podcasts will bring a range of perspectives and thoughts.

“Wheelie himself is paraplegic after a motorcycle accident 23 years ago and he has been very aware of the good work Back Up does after attending a Skiing session with them fairly soon after leaving Stoke Mandeville hospital. He very much understands the importance of building confidence and helping on the mental health aspects of such a life changing condition as a spinal injury, having experienced it all the hard way. The work Back Up does with children is something he is particularly inspired by”.

Yes. I’m going to go back and have a listen. I can’t believe I’ve not tuned in until now. It’s always been on my list of to do’s. It’s a lonely old game this investment thing but good to know there are experienced investors like you guys willing to share their know how. Fantastic. It’s going to be regular tune in for me Pete. I’ll get the old subscription in place. Kept it up mate. It’s really great.
@Lotusespritlad Excellent as usual. it confirms my thoughts on oilers, miners and energy stocks. If you want to lose 99% of your money 99% of the time these are the investments for you. Well maybe not 99% but a lot. Keep up the good work.
@Chris_M_GilbertFantastic. This means you have to bring back the lateral thinking puzzles….purely so we can see Conkers’ bewildered face. For me it’s all about learning, hearing you talk about what you look for in a Co & looking at the macroeconomics WRT how that effects individual companies. Biggest thing I’ve learnt is that *accurate valuation* + *quality business* = no need to constantly watch your PF

@Michael51492851Totally agree – avoid binary outcomes=gambling, get it out of your system = improved returns I see you both got your hair done for the video – looks nice! Where do you go? Now everyone knows what you look like, you will be mobbed in the streets so you’ll need to buy ‘hats’.
@WholewitSorry to be a wet blanket, but when I first saw your heads-up I assumed that you’d be showing charts and tables of topics your discussing. Maybe you can expand into that later; then you’d REALLY be ‘talking’! I already know you’re beautiful people, so don’t need to be reminded!

@fei5al Past few weeks #volatility has been on most investors minds. Best to have a clear strategy in mind, that best suits the individuals circumstances. Investor – Trader, Add, Reduce, Do nothing and et al. Cheers to @conkers3@wheeliedealer to give food for thought for these issues.
@F15JCMInteresting to hear @conkers3 say on his & @wheeliedealer‘s recent podcast that Disney would never buy #GAW because it involves (fantasy) violence. I notice that they seem to be comfortable with Pamela Anderson & Tommy Lee’s sex tape. *no position (or interest) in #GAW
@LEMMINGINVESTOR Yup. Another great podcast by the boys. One thing to keep in mind, and you don’t need to understand geology. If a O&G corp tells you it has 95% chance of success with the drill, RUN before the lemmings rush and take you over the cliff with them.
If you’re new to investing, or been around the block a decade of 3; success requires a simple tactical solution. Surround yourself with smart, honest, caring and sharing people. @conkers3 is one of the best.

@GoLeftMassaExcellent podcast, @conkers3 & @wheeliedealer – video format has improved flow markedly. Shame there appear to be a few listeners that are keen to focus on opinions they disagree with or simple errors (in over an hour of chat!) but rarely (or never) share a word of praise.

@Getsum4Had similar idea re: #AGL but I like the gamble. Diagnostic business in US got bought out for $2b. I’ll wait.
@growth_invest1 , @conkers3 you are aware that Disney has marvel and therefore deadpool, which isn’t what I would consider a “family friendly” film.
